Auditions – Much Ado About Nothing

In collaboration with Saint Genesius Productions, VILLA PARK Parks and Recreation is casting Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.

Featuring a large cast, the Bard’s famous comedic romp—known for the brilliant war of words between the feisty Beatrice and the staunch bachelor Benedick—plays out amidst the brittle high spirits of a postwar house party. Most actors will not be called to every rehearsal, with the exception of major roles. We will rehearse in person and outside in Rotary Park as much as possible. Performances will be held outside at the Ruggard Gazebo Saturday and Sundays, July 30-31 and Aug 6-7. The registration fee will be used to cover the cost of costumes, props, sound, lights, and other expenses.

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD AT THE COMMUNITY RECREATION BUILDING AT THE END OF MAY. Contact Genevieve Corkery, [email protected] to sign up for an audition slot.
